Background:
Indonesia’s Central Agency on Statistics has reported that the number of children below 18 has reached 62% of the Indonesian population. Yet, since the Children’s Rights Convention was ratified in September 1990 and the Children’s Constitution number 23 year 2002 was published, many Indonesian children have not yet received appropriate care and security. Many children still suffer abuse. The church needs to pay attention to the best interests of children and seek to carry out the best development and treatment programs for children.
This program is to equip child workers to become individuals with competence in developing child ministry holistically both in churches and child ministry organizations. HCD and CSW are two training programs as a breakthrough in dealing with these issues. The programs are run by PESAT partnering with Compassion
The Aim of Diploma in (HCD) Holistic Child Development:
- To equip participants to develop their leadership skills in children’s ministries
- To have an understanding of and skills in developing children holistically
- To be able to design creative and appropriate programs

The Aim of Child Social Worker (CSW) Training:
- To equip and strengthen the church in ministering to children holistically
- To equip child social workers in ministering to children holistically
- To become counselors for both children and the community
Training Requirements
- Fill out application form
- Submit a legalized copy of High School Diploma
- Submit passport size photos
- Submit a recommendation letter from the sending agency/organization/church
